The south-west is the quietest, greenest part of the island. Na Mueang is known for its waterfalls, Taling Ngam and Lipa Noi for long sunset beaches without the crowds. People come here for nature and calm, not for bars.
Na Mueang and Taling Ngam have plenty of hillside houses and villas facing the sunset: a two-bedroom house from ฿22,000 a month, a pool villa from ฿45,000. Apartments are scarce — mostly from ฿15,000 closer to Nathon.
