Scooter rental on Koh Samui
A scooter is the fastest and most affordable way to get around Koh Samui. Scooters up to 160cc are rented from one month, maxi scooters from five days. We deliver the bike anywhere on the island.

Island-wide delivery
We bring the bike to your hotel or villa in Chaweng, Lamai, Bophut and Maenam. Delivery starts at ฿100 and depends on the area.
Helmets and mandatory insurance
Two helmets are included. Thai law only requires compulsory insurance on a bike — it covers medical costs up to ฿30,000 and does not pay for vehicle damage or third-party claims.
No passport deposit
We take a cash deposit only. Your passport stays with you — that is far safer.
Bikes that actually work
Brakes, tyres and lights are checked before every handover, and we swap the bike if it breaks down.

Depends on the area — the further out, the more it costs
Scooters up to 160cc are rented for a month or longer only. If you need something for a few days, take a maxi scooter — those go from five days.
Prices are in Thai baht (฿) and depend on the season, rental period and condition of the property. We confirm the exact price when we reply to your request.

Seven fields and we find you a vehicle. The rest is optional.
Which scooter to choose
For beach trips and short runs to the shop a 125cc scooter is plenty — a Honda Click, Scoopy or Yamaha Fino. They are light, cheap to run and forgiving for first-timers.
If you ride two-up, head into the hills for viewpoints or cross the island regularly, take a 150–160cc: a Honda PCX or Yamaha NMAX. The price difference is small, the extra power is not.
Both are rented from one month. Here for a week? Then a maxi scooter from 300cc is the option — those go from five days.
What you need to rent
- A licence: an international category A licence or a Thai one. Riding without one means the fine — and, if there is an accident or breakdown, the full cost — is entirely on you.
- A cash deposit of ฿3,000–5,000 or a copy of your passport. The original stays with you.
- A helmet — mandatory under Thai law, and the police on Samui do enforce it.
How the rental works
You send a request, we confirm the dates and your area, and deliver the bike at a time that suits you. At handover we inspect it together and photograph any existing scratches, so there is nothing to argue about at the end.
When the rental ends we collect the bike from the same place and return your deposit.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a licence to rent a scooter on Koh Samui?
Yes. Thai law requires a category A licence — international or Thai. Police checkpoints on Samui are frequent. Unlike cars, bikes are not fully insured here: only the compulsory policy applies, covering medical costs up to ฿30,000. Without a licence, any other damage after an accident — yours or the other party's — is paid entirely by you.
Do I have to leave my passport as a deposit?
Not with us. We work with a cash deposit of ฿3,000–5,000. Leaving your original passport at a rental shop is risky and we would not recommend it anywhere on the island.
What happens if the bike breaks down?
Message us on WhatsApp or Telegram. Small issues we fix on the spot; for anything serious we bring a replacement, usually the same day.
What is the minimum rental period for a scooter?
Scooters up to 160cc — Honda Click, PCX, Yamaha NMAX — are rented from one month, starting at ฿3,000. If you need something for a few days, a maxi scooter works: those go from five days, starting at ฿800 a day.
