Car rental on Koh Samui
A car is first of all comfort and safety. We match one to your request and deliver it where you need it.

Airport pick-up
We leave the car at Samui airport car park or meet you at arrivals with a sign. Delivery starts at ฿100 and depends on the area.
Commercial insurance
Every car carries commercial-use insurance. It costs more than a private policy, but it means no disputes or refused claims after an accident, which can happen with private cover.
Automatic and air-conditioned
All cars have automatic transmission and working air conditioning — not a luxury on Samui.
Child seats
We bring a car seat or booster free of charge — just tell us your child's age.

A car can be rented from a single day. In high season from December to February cars are booked well in advance — send your request about a week before you arrive.
Prices are in Thai baht (฿) and depend on the season, rental period and condition of the property. We confirm the exact price when we reply to your request.
Request a vehicle
Seven fields and we find you a vehicle. The rest is optional.
When you need a car rather than a scooter
A scooter wins on price and parking but loses badly in the rain and with children on board. The rainy season on Samui is October and November, and a car is noticeably more comfortable then.
A car is also worth it if you stay up a hill: the access roads to hillside villas are steep, and a scooter carrying a passenger and shopping struggles on the climb.
What you need to rent a car
- An international driving permit or a Thai driving licence.
- Your passport for the rental agreement — the original stays with you.
- A cash deposit of ฿5,000–10,000, or a hold on your bank card.
- Driver aged 21 or over with at least one year of driving experience.
Roads and rules on the island
Thailand drives on the left. The 4169 ring road around Samui is in good condition but narrow, and local drivers often change lanes without indicating.
Petrol stations take cash and cards, and fuel there is cheaper than at the roadside pumps. A full tank in a compact car costs roughly ฿1,200–1,500.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an international driving permit in Thailand?
Yes. Your home licence alone is not enough: police checks require an international driving permit or a Thai licence, and insurers can refuse to pay a claim without one.
Can you deliver the car to Samui airport?
Yes, this is the most common option. We either leave the car in the airport car park or meet you at arrivals — just add your flight number to the request. Delivery is charged separately; we quote it when we reply.
Is insurance included in the price?
Yes, and it is not an ordinary private policy — it is insurance for commercial use. It costs more, but it means you are not left dealing with an insurer's objections after an accident, the way private policies sometimes leave renters.
Is there car rental on Samui without a deposit?
Genuinely deposit-free rental is rare. Usually the deposit can be replaced by a hold on your card — the money stays in your account and is released when you return the car.
